Accu-Chek Active 50 Strips: All the meters of the ACC-CHEK Active family use the ACC-CHEK Active test strips which are part of a system designed for people who want a proven system that is fast and simple. The large touchable test strips require a small blood sample of 1-2 micro liters to help ensure accurate results the meter checks the expiration date of the strip via the code chip and alerts you when the test strips are already expired.
The system indicates if more blood is needed with the ACC-CHEK Active test strip in-meter re-dosing is possible within 5 seconds. You can apply blood to the test strip in or out of the meter. The visual double-check option gives you a back-up on your blood glucose values Just compare the color in the test strip control window with the colors on the vial Advice: When you take a test strip from the vial make sure you close it immediately afterwards to preserve strip quality.

How to use Accu-Check Active
Step 1 Remove a test strip from the container and close the cap tightly. As you insert the metallic end of the of the strip into the meter, it turns on. |
Step 2 From any recommended sites of obtaining blood on your finger, lance the side of your fingertip with your lancing device. |
Step 3 Apply the blood drop to the green field’s center on the strip and remove your finger. When the meter detects the blood, a flashing hourglass symbol appears after a beep which indicates that the test is in progress. |
Step 4 The test gets over in about 5 seconds. The screen displays the result after a beep automatically. Remove the test strip from the meter and turn it off. Dispose the strip after the process is completed. |
